Biography

Tito is a Professor in the School of Business at Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez in Santiago, Chile. His main areas of interest are Operations Research and Business Analytics. Prior to joining UAI, he worked as a full-time professor at Northwestern University, Ohio State University, and University of Illinois at Chicago. He conducts research on issues related to decision-making under uncertainty and risk management, with applications mainly in energy and finance. Dr. Homem-de-Mello has more than 40 scientific publications in international journals, and has been main researcher in numerous research projects (grants), including projects by the National Science Foundation (E.E.U.U.), FONDECYT and Proyectos Anillo (Chile).
