Biography

Frédéric has more than 12 years of experience in research and consulting. His main areas of interest are optimization under uncertainty, large-scale optimization, game theory and energy & economics modeling. He has published in prestigious magazines such as Mathematical Programming, Operations Research, EJOR, Applied Energy, Climatic Change, among others. He has been main researcher in several international collaborative projects (European Union, Switzerland, France, Qatar, etc.) on the energy transition, international climate negotiations and smart cities (smart grid). He has contributed to the development of the ETEM tool for prospective energy modeling that is used to define regional energy policies for sustainable development. Frédéric is also Vice-President of the Swiss consultancy ORDECSYS and CEO of the advisory firm OR Decision Chile, which provides scientific services in optimization and energy.
